Established in Tameside, December 2019

 

Established in December 2019 just before the pandemic hit use in March 2020. We purchased our first coach (Matilda) in February 2020. It had long been my dream to run my own coach company. Having started at a Bus and Coach Operator in Manchester in 1997 just leaving school, I was making cups of tea for the office and learning the trade, I soon become involved in running coaches on a daily basis for different clients large and small. Having moved my way up the ladder to office Manager to finally being Operations Manager taking me 16 years in the making. Time was up at my original company due to changes and relocation so I moved to another very well-known Greater Manchester operator where I continued my development under a very well organised and experienced Operations Director and Managing Director. With the blessing of them both and my family we moved on 5 years later and started DNH Travel Limited.

 

Many Customers and clients new and old all ask where the name came from and it’s the family initials being (D for David N for Nathan (Son) and H for Heather (wife/business partner) the colours and name were both developed by Nathan and Heather

 

With the Blessing of my Wife and Son and many sleepless nights we purchased our coach and started our business and having started to think we are getting busy as we are all know too well Covid hit the UK and stopped the business in its tracks. I set out to be Private Hire only business to customers, but it was an idea which Heather had to start running day trips for Tameside (I had many years’ experience so knew how to and what to expect) running a few it became very popular and now we have our 3rd brochure out (September to December 2021 edition) with over 50 trips in each brochure and over 2000 customers and growing every day. This has soon become the heart of the business and we move with the times and online is due to be available very soon (December 2021)

 

During 2021 the recovery had started and in September 2021 with purchased our second vehicle (Little Pea) much newer version and a euro 6 to keep with the new emissions that is started to hit all the cities in the UK.

 

We are very excited about the future which holds but many hours and hard work is being done behind the scenes by myself and my ever dependable Wife.
